A Yoga Therapy session can last anywhere from one hour to two and a half hours depending on the client needs and number of sessions. A commitment of three Yoga Therapy sessions is recommended.

1 ½ – 2 hours
The first visit includes an evaluation to determine medical history, physical issues/concerns, and current/past emotional state. A prescription to address the current health concerns will be given. The prescribed treatment may include, but not limited to: dietary recommendations, herbal remedies, breathing practice, physical postures, and/or guided stress management. Rest assured your Yoga Therapist will take the time to complete a thorough evaluation of your physical, mental, and emotional condition to best aid your holistic approach to regaining health.
1- 1 ½ hours
In your second visit you will have an opportunity to review the recommendations given at the first appointment and make changes if needed. A more complete practice is designed to address the client’s health concerns building upon what was recommended in the first session. The practice that is taught may be a stress reduction practice, a physical yoga practice, lifestyle change recommendations with tools on how to achieve change, dietary education with recipes and/or food charts to get you started, or a combination of all of the above.
1-1 ½ hours
In the third session you will follow up with your Yoga Therapist and review your practices for what is working and what isn’t working. Changes will be made if necessary or additional training will be provided for advancement in the practices.

Sometimes additional visits are requested depending on severity of health concerns or desire for advancement in practices.
